About the Role
We are looking for a Senior People Systems Lead to be the internal owner and primary guardian of our Workday tenant. In this role, you are the Lead Engineer of our organizational data. You will bridge the gap
between complex business requirements and technical system logic, ensuring our & "Phase 1" deployment is a high-performance engine capable of powering our downstream AI and analytics (Palantir Foundry) platforms. As the sole internal expert for our first Go-Live, you will move beyond maintenance to drive the architectural evolution of the system.
What You’ll be Doing
- Implementation Leadership: Own the internal configuration and quality assurance of Workday Core HCM, Onboarding, and Time & Absence. You will audit the partner build to ensure complex accrual logic and geo-fencing requirements are delivered perfectly.
- Process Architecture: Design and optimize the Business Process (BP) framework.You will ensure our workflows are lean, automated, and capable of scaling as company scale from
- The Intelligence Layer: Design the data structures required for the "Neural Foundation" You will build the Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports and Dashboards that allow our leadership to see the business in real-time.
- Security & Compliance: Own the role-based security model. You will manage user access, segregation of duties, and local data privacy compliance (UK, US, Norway,Singapore).
- Integration Advocacy: Act as the first line of defence for our ecosystem (Greenhouse, Payroll, Foundry). You will monitor API connections and troubleshoot failures to ensure data flows seamlessly.
- Product Roadmap: Define the Phase 2 roadmap (Performance, Advanced Comp etc.). You will lead release management, identifying and deploying new features that give Nscale a competitive edge.
- Tier 2/3 Support: You will be the go-to SME for complex system issues that standard support cannot solve. You will diagnose root causes—whether it’s a data error or a logic break- and fix them permanently.
About You
- Workday Expert: 3-5 years of hands-on configuration experience in Workday. You have been through at least one end-to-end implementation and aren't afraid to get under the hood.
- Configuration Power-User: You are a master of Calculated Fields, Condition Rules, and EIBs. You know how to make Workday do things the "Standard" setup wont
- Functional Depth: You have proven experience configuring Time & Absence and Onboarding. You understand the math behind accruals and the logic of a perfect "Day 1" flow.
- Data Driven: You view Workday as a data source for AI. You have a "clean data" mindset and understand how your config impacts downstream analytics in Palantir Foundry.
- Autonomous Operator: You thrive in high-growth, high-velocity environments. You dont need a ticket to tell you where the "dents" are, you find them and fix them permanently.
- Bonus Points: Experience with Workday Extend is a significant plus.
